ABOUT US
Operation Twelve is a non-profit research organization dedicated to exploring the impact of tumultuous events such as explosions, warfare, and political turmoil on communities and individuals, with a focus on the Middle East. Our mission is to understand how people cope and adapt in the face of these challenging circumstances, and we believe that empowering undergraduate students is key to achieving this goal.

RESEARCH AND INNOVATIONS
Cognitive Science
Our team in the Cognitive Science department is investigating the effects of the 2020 Beirut Blast on students’ ability to learn and focus in the classroom. The study aims to assess changes in cognitive function, including attention, memory, and executive function, to better understand the impact of traumatic events on student learning.
Pre-Health and Society
Our pre-health and society department is exploring the impact of explosions on access to healthcare in the city. The study aims to identify barriers to accessing healthcare and its effect on the health of the population after the 2020 Beirut Blast.
